It'll Come 01:49
It’ll come if I take my time All my dreams are black and white I get so tense tryna make things flow Move too quick better take things slow It’ll come if I take my time I hit the pause button, let’s slow this rushing Sober up and then I hold her closer ‘till I feel our souls are touching like Like, “Baby, I don’t wanna fight you over nothing but I always told you I march to the beat of my own percussion” No discussion An assumption, I’d allow for that Now it’s just another lump of sand up in an hourglass I plant a seed in it Hope it grows a flower patch And then I roll it up and burn it down into a powdered ash I call up all my good friends and tell ‘em this time there ain’t no Hollywood endings We could mend it or just pretend it But now it’s too late I need a new sentence, let’s just end this. Tremendous highs and lower lows than man should ever know Know you had to get it out, but doing it in a letter though? Tears stained the page almost made it illegible Guess I gotta learn to let it go go go go It’ll come if I take my time All my dreams are black and white I get so tense tryna make things flow Move too quick better take things slow It’ll come if I take my time

Symmetry 02:41
You could see the moon was going down Where did the evening go? I’m still awake You could see the future in the clouds I need to know how long it’s gonna take Symmetry, how long will it be? Mouth on thoughts infinity Moth king synergy Crown on, rock rimmed differently Clock tick quick so the difference is a millipede ‘Cause running pavement is an understatement The bubble in the face made him wonder what the days meant The waves spin so the soundclip’s nicotine Found this songshift bong hit sympathy I’m lost up in a dream, pondering the cost of a loss of all of my authenticity Complex simile If caught coughin’ in a coffin then my thoughts bring infamy Father figure the beat, figuratively I’m sonning/sunning the track like it’s one of my little seeds Humbled by the jungle and the beast that lives in me that I’m at peace with I’ll sit here sipping tea and whisper mysteries Soft simplicity Mister misdemeanor missed the meaning of eclipse so the soular/solar smother was a swing and miss Soft pitch little league Off pitch singer but it lingers and it haunts him in a dream Long live infancy, childhood died Now the stillborn still grows five foot high The number on the tape made me wonder where the days went Made friends, made ends meat, but it butchered me Made sense, changed them seats ‘till they look at me Rookie team Rocket pack shoe where the foot should be Crooked lean Walking with a swagger like I took an E Talking and I staggered and I stumbled It’s too quick for me Shook it off like when the dog’s wet The process is the object I’m god’s head, a glass body, and chalk legs Drawing thoughts up on the floor before I’m caught up and get cobwebbed You could see the moon was going down Where did the evening go? I’m still awake You could see the future in the clouds I need to know how long it’s gonna take

It'll Go 04:57
Well I don’t believe in love ‘cause it never was enough for me So tell me that you want me, tell me that you need me Even if it’s make believe I wonder what we’d be, but I can see beneath your eyes It’s never gonna last so don’t get too attached It’ll go as fast as it arrived Me… I’m not really too good at goodbyes So I learned to never really ever say hello That love bug, it’ll get you high high high So I always learned to just stay below And them days’ll change This is a game that I’ve played before I know we got a little ways to go until we close the door And I hate to go but But I told you When I met you That I know you Think it’s special But I’ve grown to Be forgetful From regrets that I built in a castle with a queen and before you leaned and I asked you not to ask me about the tattoo on my heart ‘cause I hid a dream in a capsule and I swallowed it with a drink in a glassful Felt a sting like a stab wound But I had to Now the sting is a scar of a scene that you might see in me but I keep on wishing I could go back to Well I don’t believe in love ‘cause it never was enough for me So tell me that you want me, tell me that you need me Even if it’s make believe I wonder what we’d be, but I can see beneath your eyes It’s never gonna last so don’t get too attached It’ll go as fast as it arrived (x2) If there’s anything to say It’s been said a million times So I don’t need to tell you what I see beneath your eyes The definition of transience is never holding your hand again But it’s better to keep a distance than to closely watch it die If there’s anything I’ve learned It’s that anything can fall And if you watch in fast motion it’s a bloom and dissolve The definition of transience is leaving in what you landed in But it’s better to love and lose than to never love at all If there’s anything I know It’s that I never really left you ‘Cause if we met again and you kissed me I would let you The definition of emptiness is never finishing sentences But it’s better to trail off than to forget to

about

Our (almost exactly) 10 year difference in age inspired the name of the project. Deck A seeks to distill a generational divide into its constituent human experiences -- love, ennui, life, death, loss, drugs, etc.
